Your Health Is Embedded In Your Roots!

What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a science, a philosophy and a practice. Dr. Andrew Taylor Still D.O founded osteopathy in the 1870's. Classically trained osteopathic manual practitioners are still taught using the principles based teaching from Dr. A.T Still.

Core Principle:

1) The body is a dynamic unit of function through Mind, Body and Spirit

2) The body is self-healing and self-regulating

3) Structure and function are interrelated

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners view the body as one unit working together, taking into consideration all of its moving parts. The objective of the osteopath is to find the ROOT cause behind the symptoms presented.

Osteopathy appeals to the nervous system, through a gentle hands on approach. The osteopathic manual practitioner utilizes the body's natural rhythm to apply treatment. While working to remove obstructions that restrict circulation, such as blood flow, impeded nerve impulses and disruption of venous and lymphatic circulation. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners work as facilitators of health.Â
